Our achievements:

100% climate neutral since the beginning of 2020 - > 4 million pairs of trousers made from organic cotton – 1 million pairs of trousers made from FAIRTADE cotton – using only animal friendly wool since 2022

Fashion consciously produced in Europe

It’s rare – but true. We don’t relinquish control of the production of our trousers. The entire collection is made in our own European production facilities. This allows us to guarantee that our high standards, in terms of expert skills, social responsibility and environmental stewardship, are 100% met. We’re absolutely uncompromising in this respect. Thanks to the utmost care, skilled craftsmanship and precise approach of our employees, our idea of the perfect trouser is fully implemented. This allows us to ultimately release the results, with great pleasure and a clear conscience, worldwide!

Good cooperation is key to quality. This applies to our head office in Germany as well as to our production colleagues in Transylvania. Our successful collaboration with our suppliers and partners is based on long-term relationships. In addition to trust, loyalty and consistency, MEYER also places great importance on social responsibility. All our employees and representatives in over 35 countries continue to work together to create an outstanding product for you.

Taking responsibility – for a better world

Compliance with modern social and ecological standards in our own European production facility is hugely important to us. This is why we undergo regular external inspections as part of numerous certifications. The certification according to MADE IN GREEN from OEKO-TEX confirms environmentally friendly production, testing for harmful substances and social responsibility through fair wages, regulated working hours and safety in the workplace. In addition, MADE IN GREEN offers transparent supply chains that are traceable for buyers. The Fairtrade certification guarantees the ILO labour standards and entitles us to produce and sell trousers with the Fairtrade Cotton seal.

DETOX – We are rising to the challenge

MEYER supports the DETOX TO ZERO campaign by Greenpeace. Since 2007, this campaign has focused on challenging the textile and fashion industries to make clothing without using hazardous chemicals. As part of our certification, OEKO-TEX assesses the status of our chemical management and the quality of our wastewater and sludge. The result of DETOX TO ZERO by OEKO-TEX® is a status report which can confirm compliance with the goals of the Greenpeace Detox campaign.

When it comes to the climate, we don’t rest on our laurels…

From start to finish, none of the processes involved in the making of a MEYER trouser, cause any harm whatsoever to the environment. Despite every effort, climate damaging gases are ultimately produced during transport and manufacturing. We offset these greenhouse gases by supporting a UN hydroelectric power project in Uganda. This makes it possible for us to offer you climate neutral trousers.
